MEET AMIN
Welcome, and thank you for visiting!
I’m Amin (pronounced “I mean”), and I’m thrilled you’re here. Let me start by sharing a little about myself and the journey that brought me to photography.
I’m a 34-year-old Iranian living in Atlanta, Georgia, where I split my time between two passions: data science and photography. By day, I immerse myself in the logic and precision of data engineering—a world of coding, algorithms, and problem-solving. But there’s another side of me, one that thrives on feeling, expression, and art. That’s where photography comes in.
I didn’t follow a traditional path into photography, but does it have to be traditional? I believe passion, dedication, and an eye for authentic moments matter more than formal training. I’m self-taught, and with the wealth of knowledge available online, I’ve worked tirelessly to master my craft.
Why photography, and why portraits?
As an introvert, I’ve always struggled to express my emotions through words. Photography became my voice—a way to connect, communicate, and capture the essence of a moment. Through portrait photography, I’ve found a way to feel and convey the unspoken emotions of others—happiness, sadness, joy, or reflection. As Don McCullin perfectly put it:
“Photography for me is not looking; it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”
Above all, my goal is to bring passion and authenticity to every project I undertake. Whether it’s a portrait session, a wedding, a boudoir shoot, or an event, I’m here to create images that resonate. Nervous about being in front of the camera? Don’t worry—I get it. Let’s meet for coffee beforehand, chat about your vision, and make sure everything feels just right.
I look forward to working with you to create something extraordinary.
